1998 Pontiac Trans Am Sport Gold, gray interior 5.7L V8 4 speed automatic Purchased new. I ordered it so I could get the new 1998 Sport Gold color. Great car! Ran & looked very good. I often got compliments on the color. The F-bodies (Firebirds & Camaros) are great bang for your bucks. |

Too bad I couldn't even get his ID, but my new, two week old, glasses (with glass lenses) lay shattered in the back seat from the air bag deployment. I was remarkably unhurt thanks to the airbag. |

Mercury insurance chose to repair the car. Moon Nissan did a good job restoring it good as new, at least it looked that way and I did not encounter any later mechanical problems. |

First production year translated to many bug mechanical problems and break downs. NEVER get the first production year of a new model. Loved the AWD which gave me good acceleration and control rain or shine. I swore off manual transmissions from now on since my wife did not drive this car during the four years that I owned it. |

He traded in MY Datsun 200SX - gave me the Maxima - and bought the GTA. NEVER let a performance car guy buy a sedan!!! |

(The following is Kathy's unauthorized comment) When we lived in Phoenix, AZ Mike had a Ford Bronco which he did take off road. We moved to California and he soon found no need for an off road vehicle. So the Bronco was traded in and the performance car parade began. |
