San Simeon is our favorite vacation spot. It's beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and E.T. gets to go along! San Simeon is about a 243 mile drive north of our home in Bellflower, CA - but it's like being a world away from the L.A. area!
We always stay at the Best Western Cavalier Oceanfront Resort in The Terrace which sits right on the edge of the bluff. These pictures were taken November 20 through November 24 2006.

	Monday afternoon we arrived in San Simeon but our room at the Cavalier wasn't ready yet. So we took a little drive. This Bobcat was sitting along the roadside less than a mile from the resort.		This is the view from our balcony. It's pretty on a cloudy day.
	But on a clear day it's really beautiful!		Not far from the resort is our favorite place to walk.
	E.T. has always been lazy, but she is 13 now and tires out quickly. Then she sits down like a mule and won't move! So I got her this "Outward Hound Pet-a-roo" to carry her in.		It is so beautiful walking along the bluffs.
	We saw a lot of hunting birds this trip.		We love these benches. They are so cool.

	Some are very brave & pushy. They land right on the railing!		I "jiggled" the camera a little trying to get this coyote wondering along. The picture ended up looking kinda like a painting.
	The gardens at Ragged Point overlook the ocean.		Interesting plants and gorgeous views.
	There is a large colony of elephant seals in the area.		These juvenile males are practice sparring for when they are old enough to fight for females.
	These youngsters don't seen very impressed.

	Thanksgiving afternoon I decided to go down and walk in the water a little.		The water was kinda cold! Michael took pictures from the balcony
	Friday morning Michael spotted a pod of Dolphin		It was awesome watching them play in the surf.
	We sat on the balcony and watched them for almost an hour.		We think there were 8 to 10 in the group.
	This surfer sure had a great show. He was real good about not bothering the Dolphin. He kept his distance and just watched.
