he Peter Iredale, 278 feet from stem to stern, fashioned of steel plates on iron frames. The ship went aground on Clatsop Beach in 1906. After 105 years of wind, sand and surf it's amazing that anything remains. Tides and sand movement determine how much of the ship you can see.
